“Aunt Lila's” Hamburger and Rice Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups rice uncooked
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon monosodium glutamate MSG
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 lb fresh mushroom sliced
- 1 can cream of chicken soup 10-oz size
- 1 cup sour cream
Instructions

Prepare rice, salt and water and cook according to the package directions.

In large skillet, sauté onion in butter until golden. Stir in ground beef, garlic, flour, salt, MSG, paprika, pepper and mushrooms.

Cook for 5 minutes. Add soup and simmer 10 minutes, uncovered and stirring occasionally. Stir in sour cream until well combined.

Serve over hot rice.
