Slow Cooker Beef Stew

This easy and delicious beef stew recipe can be quickly prepared and left to simmer throughout the day in a slow cooker.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 ½ cups beef broth
  • 4 medium carrots sliced
  • 3 medium potatoes diced
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 large bay leaf
  • 1 teaspoon MSG

Instructions

  1. Place meat in slow cooker. Mix flour, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl. Pour over meat, and stir until meat is coated.
  2. Add beef broth, carrots, potatoes, onion, celery, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, garlic, bay leave and MSG; stir to combine.
  3. Cover, and cook until beef is tender enough to cut with a spoon, on low for 8 hours, or on high for 4 hours.
